Filing a Complaint Against a Stock Broker: Step-by-Step Guide

If you’re an investor or client with a grievance against your Stock Broker, here's a clear procedure to help you file a complaint and seek resolution:

Lodge a Complaint with the Stock Broker

Start by directly lodging a complaint with the Stock Broker involved. For instance, if you’re one of our valued clients, you can email your grievance to grievance@finopiafintech.com. You can find more detailed contact information and the Investor Grievance Matrix on our “Contact Us” page.

Escalate Your Complaint through the SCORES Portal

If the response from the Stock Broker is unsatisfactory, you can take your complaint to the next level using the SCORES Portal. SCORES (SEBI Complaints Redress System) is an online platform designed for investors to submit and monitor their complaints, as well as track the progress of their resolution efforts. To get started, create a username and password to access the portal.

Approach the ODR Portal (Online Dispute Resolution)

In the event that you’re still not content with the outcome, you have the option to proceed to the ODR Portal(https://smartodr.in/login). This platform is dedicated to online dispute resolution and will help initiate the process to resolve your dispute. To access the ODR Portal, you’ll need to provide your PAN (Permanent Account Number) and mobile number for login purposes. The ODR Portal offers various resolution methods, including mediation, arbitration, and adjudication, to help you find a satisfactory resolution.
